Last updated on March 1st, 2026

1. Zero Tolerance and Child Safety Policy

SFL is committed to the safety and well-being of all children and young people in our programs. The following standards apply to all staff, coaches, volunteers, and representatives. Compliance is mandatory.

  • Zero tolerance for any form of child abuse.
  • Zero tolerance for any form of gender discrimination.
  • Zero tolerance for coming for a session under the influence of any substances (alcohol or drugs).
  • NO "PERSONAL" CHATTING WITH CHILDREN ON SOCIAL MEDIA (text messaging, email, WhatsApp, Facebook, X, Instagram, Snapchat or similar forms of electronic or social media). This policy applies even post your interactions, employment, volunteering, or contract with SFL. No personal meetings with children.
  • Use official communication channels for information dissemination and interactions with children.
  • If a child follows an adult associated with SFL on social media, all content should be filtered, safe, and child friendly.
  • Do not take videos or images of any children unless approved by SFL. If approved, do not share any images outside the SFL structure.
  • Avoid touching children unless absolutely essential; do not allow children to touch you. For staff working with toddlers, connect with the Safeguarding & Wellness team during POCSO training sessions or contact your supervisor to clarify safe and appropriate interactions with toddlers.
